Applying for an office job at an automotive business... and this came up:
Please tell us what type of car embodies your personality and why
Hmm.
If I were to narrow it down to one specific vehicle, I’d have to say it would be a full-size Ford Bronco - the kind made from 1978-96.
Uncommon, with abilities that often far exceed the needs of the driver. At home in the city or blazing new trails. Strong, willing, and reliable to a fault - will be ready to start up and go when faster, but more temperamental models may buck at the cold or fade in the heat. Patient enough to crawl through tough terrain but fast enough to run with traffic on the fastest of highways.

Asking for salary history is weird and shouldn’t be allowed

I am an Allroad. Sporty and Classy. Able to haul the family or a large load. Adaptable to adapt any condition at the push of a button.
Your probably the first person to write a paragraph when most put a oneword answer

I never answer that because if I do, the recruiters will think they can lowball me.

Yes. Essentially a way to weed out people they’d have to pay a decent wage.

Volvo V60 Plug-in.
Some people just don’t understand me, and I can sometimes be an outsider but those who are my friends are fiercely loyal. I set about things in my own way—it may not be the quickest way but I try to make sure it’s the best way I can. I don’t really like attention that much but I appreciate praise when it’s deserved. The hybrid part of me allows me to be versatile under any circumstances as well as operate as efficiently as possible. I don’t come from a necessarily wealthy background by Bay Area standards but people respect us as both sophisticated yet down to earth.
There are a few other reasons also but they’re not really relevant to this discussion...

I’m an amphicar. I’m not particularly good at anything, but I can show you a neat trick!

I got that question when interviewing for JLR, I told them a Volvo 242 GT, because it’s awesome to the people who know it, works well, and is as random as this question.

My Rule is 15% Less than what i am asking for. Why would anyone leave a company they are happy with for less than a 15% raise?
